ChatBadges doesn't require an account. If you use the Contact form, the name, email, and message you submit are sent to us via Formspree - see Formspree's privacy policy for how they handle that data.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic - things like which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this, and may collect your IP address and general device/browser information. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles this data.
This site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember small preferences on your own device - your light/dark theme choice, whether you've collapsed any sections on the Archive page, and if you use the "Try it yourself" tool on a badge page, the name and color you typed there (so it's already filled in if you visit another badge page). If you use the Collection feature, the list of badges you've marked as owned, the display name you enter, and a photo you choose to upload are also stored this same way, entirely on your own device. None of this is sent to us or shared with anyone; it never leaves your own device, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data. Because it's stored only in your browser, this data won't carry over if you switch browsers or devices, or clear your browsing data - the Collection page has an export/import option specifically so you can move it yourself if needed. No tracking cookies are set by ChatBadges itself.
Badge images are served directly from Twitch's CDN (static-cdn.jtvnw.net), which may log standard request data (like any image request) under Twitch's own privacy policy.
